Walk to Morsgail Beehives, 9 August

Please join us on Saturday 9 August for an (unguided) walk to the Morsgail Beehives (NB131199) under Sgalabhal.  A little information here.

Time and weather permitting, we may take in other scant remains of shielings in the area and look for the disappearing loch. 

Meet at 11am at Morsgail road end and we will take a car or two up to the start of the track.

Optional potluck picnic; we will bring the tea things.

   Suggestion: can you time it to coincide with the Uig postbus out of Stornoway, which passes the Morsgail road-end at 1pm?

   We could – but the afternoon is meant to be wetter than the morning. Will you definitely come if we do make it for 1pm?
