Hi, wondered if you are the same Katherine McLennan from Glasgow who moved to Uist? as far as I can tell the house is now a self catering place which we will be visiting in May. If you are and would like to get in touch, it would be great to hear from you.

Have come across this site, while searching for Sheila (nee Lawrie) and Robin McLennan. Have been trying to trace her for many years. Old friend from many years ago. If you have any knowledge of her whereabouts, I would be very grateful to hear.

Thank You, Margaret Cairney, nee McMenemy and Docherty.

Sarah, Imagine my surprise to read this lovely article and realize they were speaking of themy ggreat-grandmother's family. James was the brother of Jane MacRae, who married Roderick MacLeod. Their daughter, Julia married William L. McLennan of Duluth in 1872. As already mentioned one of their six children was my grandfather, DR McLennan. There are still several of the Jane, James and Alexander's (brothers of William) relatives in Minnesota who I am in contact with. Your website has such wonderful information. Many thanks for all you do.
