Well, that's my Mum on the left!
Many's a day I raced round that corner to escape an irate cockerell that my Granny, top left had, on my way home form school at Lochcroistean! Surprised that he still had a beak left after the many clatterings he got when I slammed the door in its face!
Happy memories in that old house!
If ever I win the Lottery, that is one property that is getting restored! And the nearby well will get a cartadh too! It is bound to need it after all these years, since I did it last!

Have never seen this photograph but it certainly brought a tear to my eye. My Auntie Effie and Uncle Noey (Kenny). My mum was their younger sister Mhari Bell - I always go to Ungeshader when I am home in Lewis.

Hi there,
My father and aunty were Kenny and Effie Smith, the children in this photograph and I have this very one on my wall at home. I have some other family photographs and can get them to you for your records, I have already spoken to Finlay Carishader about this. I was brought up at Hillcrest, Lochcroistean and my father often took me and my sister into Ungeshader to reminisce about his life there. I have always been fascinated with the old photographs and am desperately trying to collect as many as possible in order to make copies and keep them safe.
I look forward to hearing from you,
